Dentures and Partial Dentures

Restoring Your Smile With Dentures | Frisco, TX

Dentures are removable artificial teeth for individuals with missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Dentures are created to look closely like your natural teeth did and they often may even enhance your smile! At Accent Dental in Frisco, TX, dentures are one of a number of dental treatments we might recommend based on your individual needs. As with all of our services, what’s most important to us is recommending the right treatment for your situation and budget.

There are two variations of dentures offered at our Frisco, TX clinic – partial and complete dentures. Partial dentures are used if you have some natural and healthy teeth remaining. Partial dentures prevent teeth from shifting and fill the spaces that are created from your missing teeth.

Complete dentures are used when all teeth are missing. Complete dentures can be either “immediate” or “conventional.” Conventional complete dentures are made after the gum tissue has healed and your teeth have been removed. This process often takes 4-6 weeks. Patients who go with the conventional complete dentures will go without teeth during the entire process until they get their new dentures. Our immediate dentures are made in advance of meeting with the patients, in a lab or at our dental clinic. They are immediately placed on the patient after their teeth are removed. This is a usual choice for patients because they don’t have to be without teeth during the healing process. Once the tissue shrinks and heals, adjustments are made to the dentures when needed.

Dentures are durable teeth replacements and may last many years, however we know that sometimes life happens. In case of damage, we offer renewal, adjustments and repairs to your dentures at our Frisco, TX dental clinic.
